Centrelink

Many of Australian College’s accredited courses are approved for Centrelink Student Related Payments through Austudy, ABSTUDY, Youth Allowance and Pensioner Education Supplement (PES).

Conditions and criteria vary for different funding programs and will depend on your personal circumstances. Please enquire with Centrelink to check if you are eligible for any course funding.

Students on Centrelink Assistance can make their payments using Centrepay.

Centrelink is delivered by the Australian Government Department of Human Services and supports people with payments and services.

  • Austudy, ABSTUDY and Youth Allowance are forms of government financial assistance that provide fortnightly payments to eligible students enrolled to study in approved courses.
  • Pensioner Education Supplement (PES) helps students with the ongoing costs of full-time or part-time study in a secondary or tertiary course. You must be receiving a qualifying pension or payment and previous tertiary study may affect whether you can get the supplement.
  • Education Entry Payment is a taxable payment and is available to people receiving specific income-support payments, to help with the cost of study. You do not have to make a claim in order to receive the Education Entry Payment. Your eligibility will automatically be assessed by Centrelink when you provide proof of enrolment in an approved course of study.
