Support and inspire children

The CHC50113 Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care will open a career of opportunities supporting children and coordinating staff within an Early Education Centre.

Previously, it was necessary to have qualified with a CHC30113 Certificate III in Early Childhood Education and Care to progress within the childcare facility. However, new regulations now require for any one in a position of responsibility to have graduated with the CHC50113 Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care. Further, it is now a requirement that 50% of employees within the centre now have a Diploma of Early Childhood and Care qualification.

It is required that educators must have or be working towards at least an approved Certificate III level Education and Care qualification whilst working in a child care centre.

The CHC50113 Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care course provides you with the necessary skills to work in a supervised role and curriculum development of an early childhood education and care service (may vary from state to state).

This course is specifically designed for early childhood educators who may have responsibility for supervision of staff, as well as designing and implementing curriculum in early childhood education and care services. In doing so, they work to implement an approved learning framework within the requirements of the Education and Care Services National Regulations and the National Quality Standard.

For those who would like to advance to a position of leadership, they are required to have graduated with an approved Diploma of Early Childhood and Care.

The latest CHC50113 Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care has been developed against national requirements and is nationally recognised in Australia.
