Interior Design and Decorating

INTD

Course Information

In the Interior Design & Decorating course you will learn the essential knowledge required to design and decorate a space in a balanced and informed way. If your goal is to set out and get started in a career in designing and decorating, or you simply want to create a beautiful home, then the one thing you need to do is to learn as much as you can. Interior design and decorating is like any other career - the more you learn about it the better.

In this online course you will study the techniques to plan a room and create a sense of space. This will include making informed suggestions on planning, furniture, colour and finishes. For instance, to create more space you might suggest built-in wardrobes with mirrored doors, or furniture which has a strong vertical line to create height. As an interior decorator you will also learn to recommend strong combinations of paint, wallpaper, floor coverings, and so on.

While you can channel and grow your skills and knowledge to specialise in interior design or interior decorating, you can also choose to work in both areas, as many people do. Regardless of which path you decide to take at the completion of your course, you will have the foundational knowledge of both these vital areas and how they contribute to creating beautiful spaces, whether it is for career or home.

My thanks for helping me to open up a new direction in my life."
